What does a treatment involve?
Your first treatment will begin with a confidential consultation. You will then relax on a massage couch or chair and receive a gentle foot massage, followed by firm thumb and finger pressure over the foot reflex points. Afterwards, we will discuss the findings and answer any further questions you may have.
How will it feel?
You will feel relaxed and soothed. Afterwards most people note a feeling of well-being and relaxation, others may feel energised.
How many treatments should I have?
You may need a series of weekly treatments to get to the root cause of your issue, reducing to once or twice monthly as the body begins to respond. Like many of my clients, you may appreciate the overall health benefits and choose to continue to receive treatments to maintain your optimal health.
I have a verucca. Can I still have treatment?
Many people have corns, callouses, verrucas and other ailments on their feet. To a Reflexologist these can be important signs. They don't prevent you from having a treatment. If a part of your foot is inaccessible for some reason, the hand can be treated instead.
When shouldn’t a treatment be given?
It is not advisable to have treatment if you are in the first trimester of pregnancy, you have a high fever or an infectious disease, you suffer from Deep Vein Thrombosis or you have gangrene. It is advisable to let me know about any medical condition you have during our consultation so I can adapt your treatment if necessary.
